Note: Always start at the lowest dose (0.25 mg/week) and titrate up slowly over 16+ weeks. Rapid dose increases significantly increase nausea and GI side effects. Do not skip titration steps.

Semaglutide Storage

Lyophilized: 2-8 C. Reconstituted: 2-8 C

Stability after reconstitution: Up to 28 days refrigerated. Always use bacteriostatic water for multi-use reconstitution. Label the vial with the reconstitution date and discard after the stability period.

Semaglutide Frequently Asked Questions

Standard titration: 0.25 mg/week for 4 weeks, 0.5 mg for 4 weeks, 1.0 mg for 4 weeks, 1.7 mg for 4 weeks, then 2.4 mg maintenance. Each step should last at least 4 weeks.
Adding 2 mL gives 2.5 mg/mL. For a 0.25 mg starting dose, draw 0.1 mL (10 units). For 0.5 mg, draw 0.2 mL (20 units). This makes the entire titration easy to calculate.
At the starting dose of 0.25 mg/week, a 5mg vial lasts 20 weeks. At 1 mg/week, it lasts 5 weeks. At 2.4 mg/week, it lasts about 2 weeks.
Nausea is the most common side effect and typically occurs when starting or increasing the dose. It usually improves within 1-2 weeks at each dose level. Eating smaller meals and avoiding high-fat foods helps.
Inject once weekly on the same day each week. There is no specific time of day requirement. If you miss a dose within 5 days of the scheduled day, take it as soon as possible. If more than 5 days late, skip that dose.
Yes, rotate injection sites between the abdomen, thigh, and upper arm. The abdomen typically provides the most consistent absorption. Always inject subcutaneously, not intramuscularly.
